FOIJ hails reduction in electricity duty on industries | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 3 : A Meeting of Federation of Industries, Jammu (FOIJ) was held today under the chairmanship of Rajesh Jain (Chairman) which was attended by all the Co-chairmen of the Federation and the office bearers of different Industrial Associations. In a brief statement issued, the Federation thanked Dy CM Dr Nirmal Singh over the decision taken by the state government for reduction of existing 22% electricity duty to 10% only to the industrial sector and providing 24 hours power supply to the unit holders of all industrial areas. This positive move will definitely help in Prime Minister's programmes of 'Make In India'. He further expressed that Dy CM must take more steps to upgrade the existing poor infrastructure in all the Industrial Areas and also to provide the power connections to exiting industries and new upcoming industrial units. The members also appealed to Dy CM to extend the amnesty scheme to industrial sector also as already promised adding that he should further take firm steps towards 'ease of doing business' and removing the hurdles in running the industry. |
