Jagti Tenement Committee discusses issues of Migrants | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 3 : A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee was held here today under the Chairmanship of Sh. Shadi Lal Pandita, President. During the course of meeting various problems and issues of Jagti Migrant Township were discussed in detail. The participants have expressed their grave concern over the damaged and dilapidated conditions of the residential blocks in Jagti Migrant Township. While addressing the participants Shadi Lal Pandita said that the lives of the inmates of different residential blocks in this migrant township is at stake because: the outer plaster of almost all residential blocks is broken and damaged, leakages in almost all TRTS. The doors and windows panes in almost all quarters are damaged and broken because of the fact sub-standard wood used in manufacture of door and window panes.. The inmates of Jagti Migrant Township have been facing acute drinking water shortage as the water supply scheme for this township is based on the source of existing nallahs which usually remains dry. Pandita said that time and again State Government was apprised about embezzlements and misappropriations in construction of residential blocks in Jagti Migrant Township but in vain and participants appealed the Vigilance Organization to conduct impartial investigation to bring out the truth so that the defaulters are brought to book. |
