Marnoprant presented in ATG Natya Utsav | | | Jammu, Oct 5 : The ATG Natya, utsav today opened to a grandeur start with Surendra Varma's Marnoparnt produced by the group under its new initiative to test the new crop of young directors on the proscenium. Aparan Kapoor, a young and budding director of the group presented the play among the jam packed K L Saigal hall which was highly applauded by the audience . The design and craft of a two players play based on a relation of infidelity was finely executed by Sandeep Varma and Vivek Sangotra Sharma, both of whom sensibly and effectively carried the enigma of a situation where the beloved of one and the wife of the other had recently met with a fatal accident leaving behind some memoirs that become the source of bringing two men to face off. The following course of the events reveal how both the men were involved with a woman who shared double edged relation and survived the societal stigma until she meet with the accident. Both men meet at some decided venue and slowly unfurl the relation that ends up on a cordial conclusion among the both who chose their own path for salvation after the relation has ended. The finely executed set was erected by Ankit Sharma while Mohit Mehra took on music with Pankaj Sharma holding the lights. Earlier speaking on the occasion, ATG president Mushaq Kak said that since this initiative was new of its kind, sooner more celebrity theatre groups of the region would be included to chalk out the future process of theatre on bigger canvass with full length plays to be showcased in coming months. |
