Transfers of "tainted" SHOs, I/C PPs on cards 10/6/2015 12:09:53 AM Early Times Report jammu, Oct 5: Transfers of the SHOs and police post (PP) heads, who face allegations of corruption and misuse of official position and who have been rated as incompetent in keeping crime rate under control in their respective jurisdictions, are on the cards. Police sources said Jammu SSP's office was now-a-days busy in finalising a list of such SHOs and PP heads. Once the list was made, the transfer orders would be issued, the sources added, saying while some of them would be attached with the District Police Lines (DPL) here, the others were likely to be transferred to the peripheral areas. Complaints against these police personnel were also lodged by the affected people with senior police officers in Jammu region. They were likely to be replaced with some of the Inspectors and SIs, who were attached with the DPL, sources said. Sources said SSP Uttam Chand was taking personal interest in preparing the list of the "tainted" SHOs and PP heads. All this was being done to further improve the police working at thana level, the sources added.
