| Out of power, Omar vents frustration at Speaker | | |

jammu, Oct 5: Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is demeaning the office of the Speaker by labeling it with an organization.
It's probably for the first time that Speaker is being accused of being member of a particular organization. The NC is indulging in the worst form of name-calling.
Omar, who had been groomed in the lap of the BJP, not able to fathom that he doesn't enjoy power anymore neither in the state nor in the Centre, is now trying to resurrect his flagging political career by blaming anything connected with the RSS, a social organization.
It's part of this game plan that NC accused the Speaker Kavinder Gupta of being a RSS person and even termed that anyone connected with it as 'Gaddhar'. The remarks were made by Ali Mohammad Chraloo alias Sagar about whose secular credentials and honesty the less said is better.
The NC by using the phrase that RSS "is Gaddhar" has in a sense accused itself of being a traitor as the party has been in alliance with the BJP in the past and RSS is the mentor of the BJP.
Omar and his coterie is still living in the wonderland by believing that by criticizing RSS it can prove itself as real guardian of the Muslim majority in Kashmir region.
The RSS had never interfered in the working of the Government and the Speaker post is above any suspicion. But the NC has even accused the Speaker of being partisan.
The NC has though conveniently ignored the tenure of its Speaker Akbar Lone who not only had major face off with the press but had used abusive language on more than one occasion and had even marshaled out MLA Rashid on more than one occasion. And NC is not piggy backing on the Rashid. |
