Dr Nitin finds place in 'Google Scholar Top Citations' list 10/5/2015 10:07:22 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 5 : Dr Nitin Langer was awarded with Ph.D in Electrical Engineering during convocation recently held by National Institute of Technology at SKICC, Srinagar, who has become first regular Ph.D awardee in faculty of Engineering at National Institute of Technology, Srinagar since its inception. He intends to serve the society by continuously upgrading his research capabilities with a mission to transform his home state into research and technology hub. Dr Nitin Langer, son of S P Langer did his Ph.D research work under the guidance and supervision of Dr Abdul Hamid Bhat, Associate Professor in Department of Electrical Engineering, NIT Srinagar, under title "Performance Investigation of A Three-Phase Multilevel Converter For Power Quality Improvement". During his research work, he was able to come up with 20 quality research publications, 11 of which found the much deserved place in various International SCI journals with high impact factor. These include the publications in IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IET Power Electronics and IJEPES-Elseveir. Recognition of his work in International platform is highly appreciable with 7 research publications out of the 11 found their way into the "Google Scholar Top Citations" list of topmost International journals in Power Engineering across the world. Effectiveness of his work is also reflected in statics with a cumulative impact factor of 18.74, h-Index of 02, citations -14 as per Google search with number of downloads exceeding 730. His deep probing into his research has also resulted in the filing of one Patent under Intellectual property rights , "A Novel Method and System of Capacitor Voltage Balancing for Three-Phase Neutral Point Clamped Bi-directional Rectifiers: Hamid-Langer Modulation Strategy", published vide no: 1494/DEL/2013 in Indian Patent Office, New Delhi, India. The credentials of Dr Nitin Langer, who is presently working as Associate Professor and Head, Department of Electrical Engineering in Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) KotBhalwal, Jammu, is also supported by impressive academic record which include award of Gold Medal for being top scorer in Masters degree by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal. Over the time he has acquired 14 years of teaching and administrative experience along with proven track record of conceptualizing and leading research/consultancy projects in Electrical Engineering.
