Residents of Rehan hold protest against PWD officials 10/5/2015 10:14:35 PM Early Times Report Rajouri, Oct 5: Inhabitants of village Rehan and adjoining areas held a protest demonstration against the PWD(R&B) officials and district administration for neglecting Rajouri-Rehan road which is in depilated condition posing threats to the lives of the people especially passengers.According to press statement issued here, people alleged that for the last many months they were raising the issuing before the concerned officials but it seems that officials are in deep slumber and least bother to mitigate the problems. "The road is filled with potholes posing many threats to passenger vehicles especially light vehicle owners finding very hard to move on this road" said Iqbal Maliq who lead the protest demonstration and adding people have decided to come on the roads against the concerned PWD(R&B) officials and if the repair work was not started within next few days they will launch a large scale demonstration including blocking of this road. They said whenever there was rain potholes get filled with dirty water and transporters stop plying their vehicles on this route apprehending damage to their vehicles resulting in great inconvenience to the people especially employees and students. According to concerned Junior Engineer said that the repair work of this road was started but was stopped due to financial restrains.
