Court directs Airport Snack Bar to deposit Rs 1 lakh in Legal Service Authority Selling juice at double the cost 10/5/2015 10:17:55 PM Early Times Report Jamnu, Oct 5: In a complaint filed by Ashok Gupta against Suruchi Point Snack Bar inside the Airport here for selling Del Monte Juice at the rate of Rs 80 which is more than double the actual cost, the court comprising Shahzad Azeem and Veenu Julmaria allowed the complaint and directed the snack bar and director of Airport Authority, Jammu, to pay Rs 10,000 as compensation to the complainant. While giving Rs 10,000 as compensation to the complainant, DCDRF Jammu held that the complainant sufficiently proved that Snack Bar had charged more than double the cost and exploited the public prior to and after the incident and that it had no right to keep and misappropriate the public money and it must go back to the public and ordered that Point Snack Bar shall deposit a sum of Rs 1 lakh which shall go to the J&K High Court Legal Service.
