NSF stages protest against JU admin 10/5/2015 11:01:18 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 5: National Secular Forum (NSF) held a protest against the administration of Jammu University for cancellation of the selection process for the post of Assistant Registrars after ward of a top official of the University. Addressing a gathering, NSF Senior Vice-President Surjit Choudhary appealed the Chancellor of University /Governor NN Vohra to direct Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or Crime Branch to unravel the mystery behind the unprecedented cancellation of the selection process of Assistant Registrars (ARs), mid-way by the authorities sitting at the helm of affairs in University of Jammu (JU) and that too without the approval of any of the competent bodies i.e. University Council or Syndicate. He asked the Jammu University administration to come clean over the allegations and declare the name of the top official who ordered cancellation of the selection process to restore the confidence of society in the fairness and transparency of the selection processes in the University. He alleged it is biggest fraud with the educated unemployed youth of the state who aspire for gazetted job after putting lot of painstaking efforts They demanded from the state government to take cognizance of the fraud being committed by the Vice Chancellor Prof Ramji Dass Sharma and order probe through Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to unravel the truth behind the whole episode.
