Jammu, Oct 28: NHPC, Regional Office Jammu while observing Vigilance Awareness Week from 26.10.15 to 31.1015 organised Debate Competition for students in Govt. Bazar Qasaban Hr. Secondary School, Gujjar Nagar and Govt. Hr. Seconday school, Sunjwan on 28.10.2015 on the subject "Corruption and its ill effects". Many students from both the schools participated in the Competition and suggested various causes, ill effects thereof and remedial measures required to be taken for eradication of corruption in the environment. A jury of three members in both the schools had a hard time for deciding the Ist, IInd and IIIrd positions as all the participants delivered nicely. However, Humaira (Class 11th), Ronak (Class 9th) and Sheikh Hassina, (Class 11th) bagged Ist, IInd and IIIrd positions respectively in Govt. Bazar Qasaban Hr. Secondary School, Gujjar Nagar, Jammu whereas Sajjad, (Class 11th), Goshia, (Class 12th) and Pawan (Class 11th) bagged Ist, IInd and IIIrd positions respectively in Govt Hr. Seconday school, Sunjwan, Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, both the School Principals recalled Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel and advised the students to inculcate in themselves a habit of honesty by pursuing their studies seriously and not to make lame excuses for irregularity and low grades. Prizes to the winners shall be given away by NHPC during the closing ceremony of Vigilance Awareness Week on 31 Oct. 2015 to be held at NHPC Regional Office, Jammu. Besides, a Slogan writing competition was also organized on 27.10.2015 for the employees of NHPC Regional Office wherein employees participated with great enthusiasm. |
