| Constable among two killed in road accident | | | Early Times Report
Banihal, Oct 28: Two persons including a police Constable were killed when a tipper rolled down into a gorge on Makerkote-Halwagan link road in Banihal of Ramban district here today.
The deceased has been identified as Police Constable Sajjad Ahmed Halwagan and the other driver of the tipper Hayat Ahmed of Neel Banihal.
Police source said that the incident took place this evening when a tipper bearing regd no 2734- JK 19 loaded with sand skidded off the road and rolled down into a gorge resulting critical injuries to two persons. Local and a police team of nearby police station rushed to the spot and shifted the both to nearby hospital where doctors declared one brought dead identified as police constable Sajjad Ahmed of Daing Halwagan while driver of the tipper Hayat Ahmed succumbed to his injuries during shifting to other Hospital. Meanwhile Police have registered a case in this connection at Police Station Ramsoo. |
