| ‘Officials cannot use govt vehicles during leave’ | | | Asif Iqbal Naik

Kishtwar, Oct 28: The Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar has ordered against use of official vehicles during leave period. A circular to this effect was issued the other day.
The circular No. DDCK/Plg/Circular/12/ 2015-16/2681-2720 Dated 26-10-2015 while impressing upon all the District/Sectoral Officers of District Kishtwar that they should not leave the headquarter without his prior permission.
The circular also warned stern disciplinary action against the delinquent officers.
“All the District/Sectoral Officers who while on leave will not use the official vehicle and ensure that the departmental vehicle be used only for the official purpose and official tours only,” read the circular.
The DC also directed all the officers to maintain tour diary and submit the same in his office so that things could be monitored/evaluate pertaining to their sectors properly.
It was found in the past in entire state that the officials misused their official vehicles including ferrying their children, family members friends and their relatives during school and official timing at the cost of the state exchequer.
The circular has been hailed widely by the Kishtwar civil society.
