Police cracks 3 chain snatching cases | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 28: After the arrest of a snatcher, Bakshi Nagar police arrested three snatchers and claimed to have cracked total three cases of chain snatching besides making recovery of three chains. Addressing the media persons at Bakshi Nagar police station, SP North Shiv Kumar Chouhan flanked by Dy SP Headquarters, in-charge SDPO West Vivek Shekhar and Inspector Ashwani Sharma, SHO Bakshi Nagar said, “Alert police with the help of locals a nabbed a snatcher last night who later was identified as Munish Gupta of Rehari Colony Jammu. SP North Chouhan further said during his questioning he disclosed name of two more snatchers who are his associates. “Police team arrested the two associates who have been identified as Anubhav Khajuria alias Honney of Laxmi Nagar Sarwal, Jammu and Gourav Bali of Rehari Colony who have been arrested today by a special team led by SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Ashwani Sharma, SI Javed Iqbal Kataria under the supervision of SDPO west Dy SP Vivek Shaker Sharma”, said SP. SP North said, “ the trio was active in the area from the last one year and their dominance was noticed in Subash Nagar and surrounding areas and had created panic”. He also said that three cases of chain snatching has been solved on their instance and three chains of 3 tolas (approx.) along with a motor cycle Pulsar bearing registration No. JK02BA-1497 used in the crime has been recovered on their disclosure, more arrest/recoveries are expected. The overall operation was coordinated by SSP Jammu Uttam Chand, he added.
