Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report Kishtwar, Nov 24: : BJP workers greeted MLA Langat, Er Rashid with black flags on his arrival here Tuesday. The BJP workers raised slogans against him terming him pro-militant, pro-Pakistan and anti-national. They urged the district administration to cancel his permission for holding a rally in ITI ground. Reports said the BJP workers led by youth president Asish Sharma tried to force their entry into the Dak Banglow but he police whisked him away to safety, Talking to Early Times Ashish said the party was not aware of the decision of the district administration granting permission for the rally. Sharma said the visit of the `controversial' MLA was aimed at disrupting communal harmony in the sensitive town which is limping to normalcy after the 201 communal riots. Later Er Rashid talked to Early Times and downplayed the incident. He said it happens in a democracy. However, at the same time he regretted the BJP response. "This shows they are out to scuttle the democratic process," he said. While addressing a rally at ITI ground Kishtwar Er. Rashid said that peace is imperative for the development of Jammu and Kashmir along with the solution of long pending waxed "Kashmir issue" between India and Pakistan by taking the aspirations of people into consideration. Rashid in his speech attacked all political leaders of the state including CM Mufti Syed, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, Sajjad Kichloo, Ghulam Nabi Azad and their parties. Rashid defended the strike call given Syed Ali Shah Geelani over the killing of three militants in Bijbihara area of South Kashmir.
