Beef party host Er. Rashid faces public ire

Kishtwar Nov 25: MLA Langate Er. Rashid who stirred strong sentiment in Jammu against him after hosting a beef party in Srinagar today faced wrath of BJP, VHP and RSS activists at Bhaderwah when they pelted stones on his cavalcade near Domail Bhaderwah some 5 KM on the outskirts of Bhaderwah town resulting into injuries to him and his PRO Inamul Nabi before police whisked him away from spot. The agitating right wing activists also attempted ink attack on the controversial MLA.
As per the details available with "Early Times", after finishing his public rally at Dak Banglow Bhaderwah, Er. Rashid was returning to Doda when over two dozen BJP, VHP and RSS activists who are waiting for his return started pelting stones on the vehicle in which Rashid and his PRO received minor injuries while his vehicle was badly damaged in the said attack. The agitating people termed him as anti national and enemy of peace who wants to hurt the sentiments of Hindu community by indulging in anti Hindu religious activities like cow slaughtering that has disturb the communal harmony of the state, added that MLA Rashid will face same anger from them as and when he tried to enter Chenab region.
As soon as the attack took place, police party led by SDPO Bhaderwah Sajjad Khan swung into action and save Er. Rashid and his supporters from angry protestors and escorted them out of Bhaderwah. Following attack on Rashid's cavalcade, the security at Doda town was
further beefed up.
It is pertinent to mention that yesterday agitating BJP workers led by its Youth President Ashish Sharma tried to storm inside Dak Banglow Kishtwar where MLA Er. Rashid was staying, but strong police contingent led by DY. SP DAR Sanjay Parihar and Dy. SP Operation Irshad Ahanger foiled their attempt to reach MLA Rashid who was whisked away by police party led by Dy. SP HQ Kishtwar from the spot.
