Achievement of BJP in J&K: RSS, ABVP declared outlaws in JU | Engineer Rashid allowed to spit venom against minorities outside | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 25: It appears that the coalition Government in J&K, in which "nationalist" BJP is important partner, has given free hand to the anti-India forces to spit venom in Jammu region to create fear among minorities in mountainous regions of Poonch, Rajouri, Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar and Bhaderwah. The way ultra-right wing radical MLA Engineer Rashid, who had earlier hosted beef party in MLA Hostel at Srinagar clearly to give message to the minority that there is no care for their sentiments in J&K, has given free hand by the touring different areas of Jammu region is reflection of State Government's failure to check such communal forces. On the one hand, the nationalist student organisation like ABVP was not allowed to hold a conference to discuss purely students' problems, the State Government has given free hand to Engineer Rashid to trouble makers like Engineer Rashid to tour sensitive areas like Bhaderwah and Doda to instigate one community against other through his fiery anti-minority speeches. While the coalition Government has failed to keep a check on communal leader like Engineer Rashid, patience of common masses is running out. Today's episode at Bhaderwah is an indication that people are not going to tolerate such leaders, who have been instigating majority community against minority. The big question is why Engineer Rashid was allowed to tour a communally sensitive area like Bhaderwah? If Government bans a student conference of ABVP at Jammu University with the behind the curtain support of some BJP stalwarts, why State Government is not checking movement of leaders like Engineer Rashid? Credible sources said that it was failure on the party of BJP leaders that authorities have set up norms to stifle voice of nationalist forces in Jammu region and to allow anti-India elements to spit venom. BJP leaders are themselves discouraging nationalist forces in Jammu region because they don't want any trouble in their "power enjoying" tenure. In the campus of Jammu University, which should be hub of political discussions and activities to develop new leadership in this region, an undeclared ban has been imposed on organisations like RSS and ABVP due to internal tussle among BJP leaders. But, in other parts of Jammu region, elements like Engineer Rashid have been given license to move freely in any part to spit venom. |
