Refrain from delaying implementation of Court’s direction on reservation: AIRF, AIRM to politicians | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Nov 25: Welcoming the historical decision of the High Court against Reservation, the general category including unemployed educated youth, students from Rajouri and Poonch district under the banners of Anti Illegal Reservation Front (AIRF) and Anti Illegal Reservation Movement (AIRM) held a meeting and warned the politicians not to put hurdles in its implementation and demanded that State government should implement it without any further delay. Activists of AIRF and AIRM held a meeting at Doongi in which besides students and unemployed youth from general category, a large number of locals also participated and deliberated in detail on the issue . "Both the organizations have been struggling against the bad effects on the people of general category and the Court's decision has brought a relief for those poor students and other beneficiaries who have / had become victims of reservation" said Imran Qureshi, AIRM office bearer. He pointed out more than 70 % people in the country under general category have become victims of reservation that has spoiled the career of highly educated youth/ employees. S K Mughal and Gulshan Kumar president and general secretary of host organization also welcomed High Court decision said that it has brought a sigh of relief for general category people. "We are against the reservation that has spoiled the future of thousands of highly educated youths from general category and not against any community/communities getting benefits under reservation, he clarified. "During last recent years over 900 students got benefits for MBBS, Engineering etc courses, under Reservation who belong to upper class families having income worth lakh of rupees per month" said SK Mughal and questioned while people from general category having low income are deprived from such benefits. AIRF and AIRM office bearers appealed to all the political parties not to play with the future of thousands of highly unemployed/employed youth from general category for their vested interests only. They appealed to the people, unemployed youth and students of general category to join their anti-reservation movements and demanded either reservation for whole of J&K State or no reservation to those who have been enjoying benefits under reservation for the last more than 26 years Rajiv Kumar , R S.Mala. Nadeem Ahmed, Bilal Ahmed, Nissar, Hussain Manjit Singh, Madhur ,Susheel, Ashwani Kumar.Tanweer Qureshi and Vishal Sharma also spoke in this meeting. |
