OBC demands for basic conveniences 11/27/2015 10:55:30 PM Early Times Report Poonch, Nov 27: District president OBC National Conference Poonch Abdul Rashid Shahpuri has demanded the basic conveniences of the segment. He said that all the advisory boards of other social backward classes of the society are formed, but as far as OBC is concerned, no state advisory board is formed till date. He expressed anguish over the injustice with this socially backward segment. He further said that OBC should not be included as OSC and should remain OBC as it was. He also appealed that the criteria of income 1.5 lakh is less and requested govt that it should be reduced to 10 laks as minimum. He demanded that the suggestion put by Mandal Commission should be implemented in the state too, and said that 2% reservation given by the state govt is not sufficient but it is only eyewash for this segment. He said govt should provide apparatuses to the different professionals of the segment. He also appealed that the certificates should be issued on the basis of revenue record not on the basis of current profession.
