Mufti unhappy with JU VC | Reprimands him for starting skill development courses | | Early Times Report jammu, Nov 27: Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed reportedly reprimanded the Vice-Chancellor of University of Jammu on Friday for not starting the skill development courses in the varsity. Addressing the gathering at JU, the Chife Minister expressed dismay over the VC- JU not recognizing the importance of the skill development courses. In an angry tone Mufti said, "It's your (VC's) choice to start the skill development courses or not. I can't keep on telling you again and again." The CM was speaking at a function organized to commemorate the inauguration of the academic-cum administrative block at Jammu University. Mufti was accompanied by the Deputy Chief Minister and many cabinet ministers and other dignitaries were present on the occasion. Sources disclosed, that VC had to cut a sorry figure as pro-chancellor took a strong note of him (VC) ignoring the important skill development courses. "Don't turn students into book worms. Develop their skills so that they become independent." Insiders revealed that Chief Minister has taken a strong note of Vice-Chancellor's failure to run the Jammu University in a professional manner. "Vice-Chancellor's inability to remain firm on his decisions and him taking time to dispose of the cases has disappointed the CM. Vice-Chancellor shrugging off the responsibility and constituting committees to settle even small issues has pushed Jammu University to the edge," they added. |
