PoJK, Gilgit-Baltistan are legitimately Indian | NC is Pakistan's mouthpiece in J&K | | Early Times Report jammu, Nov 27: Former J&K CM Farooq Abdullah on Friday violated the J&K Constitution and India Constitution to identify himself and his party with Pakistan and he spoke against the territorial integrity of India and for Pakistan in Jammu itself when people were remembering late NC/Congress leader Girdhari Lal Dogra. As a matter of fact, he acted as Pakistani spokesperson and separatist and votary of two-nation in him declared in a highly objectionable manner that "PoJK and Gilgit-Baltistan are part of Pakistan and they shall remain so" and that "India and Pakistan should talk to resolve the issue, as war is not a solution". As expected, his anti-India declaration evoked a very strong reaction from one and all and the Panthers Party went to the extent of terming Farooq Abdullah as a seditionist. "He has committed an act of sedition against India by describing the Indian territories -- which have been under the illegal occupation of Pakistan since 1947 -- as territories of Pakistan," said JKNPP leader Harsh Dev Singh while reacting to the anti-India fulmination of Farooq Abdullah. Many others also denounced Farooq Abdullah as a seditionist and Pakistani agent based in India. Even the PDP tore into Farooq Abdullah and said that he played with the national interest by saying what he said about PoJK and Gilgit-Baltistan. The BJP, which has bartered the national interest in Kashmir for the sake of power, also didn't lag behind. One BJP minister at the Centre rebuffed Farooq Abdullah and said, and very rightly, that the entire J&K state as it existed on August 15, 1947, was, is and shall ever remain an integral part of India. However, one minister in the same government, who hails from Jammu, made a foolish and unambiguous statement that "if at all, if at all there exists some dispute between the two nations, it is about PoJK and Gilgit-Baltistan". Just underline the words "if at all, if at all" and you will draw a right conclusion about this man from Jammu. Farooq Abdullah got support from his out-of-power son and former CM Omar Abdullah, who in 2013 had desecrated the floor of the J&K Assembly saying "by repeating the words atoot ang (integral part) you cannot change the political status of J&K". He should have been sacked then and there by the state governor for violating the oath of office, but the Congress-led UPA Government condoned his unpardonable crime. |
