Woman bootlegger held for distillation of liquor 11/27/2015 10:58:36 PM Early Times Report Kishtwar, Nov 27: Continuing its drive to curb the menace of illicit distillation of liquor in Kishtwar, the District Excise sleuths today conducted raids at several places and arrested a lady bootlegger from Shakti Nagar W- 10 Kishtwar. Sources said that arrested woman has been identified as Chandni wife of Beda Tsering of Kabban Padder presently at Shakti Nagar Kishtwar. As per the details available with "Early Times", following the direction of Deputy Commissioner Excise Shahid Saleem and Excise Taxation Officer Gurdev Kumar, a team of excise department led by Inspector Towsif Mustafa Wani from Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban circle conducted series of raids at different places at Kishtwar District. "During such raids, the excise sleuths arrested one lady for alleged distillation of alcohol in Kishtwar, sources said, adding, "besides this team also destroyed over 100 liters of Lahan (locally made liquor) during raids at different places."
