JSM welcomes Khayal’s statement on separation of Jammu & Kashmir 11/27/2015 11:49:17 PM Jammu, Nov 27 : Jammu State Morcha has welcomed the statement given by Sahitya academy award winner Ghulam Nabi Khayal that "it is high time that Jammu region is separated from Kashmir Valley so that the menace is done away with once and for all". According to press release, a meeting of JSM members was held today which was presided over by Abdul Gani and among others attended by Er. Chandra Uday Sharma, Surjit Singh,Er. Vishva Bandai Gupta, Er Subhash Baru, and Er Sanjay Tagotra supported Khayals views that the region's like Jharkhand,Uttrakhand, Chattisgarh, Telengana, Haryana and HP after the splitting from their parent states. They also supported his thinking that there is no commonality "between these two regions (kashmir and Jammu aAt any level). Jammu is secular with all Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs living in harmony in the province whereas Kashmiris have shunted out their minority communities from the valley. Infant they are more intolerant to their minorities than Islamic Pakistan. Jammu province, in spite of double the area of valley was never allowed a Chief Minister from Jammu because power balance was conspired on favour of kashmir by Sheikh Mohd Abdullah and Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru. Siddhartha Sharma of JSM said that Jammu never objected to Chief Minister from Kashmir but Kashmir always did. Even Ghulam Nabi Azad ( present leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha) was allowed to be so only when he stressed that his ancestors basically belong to Kokarnag area of Anantanag district of the valley. But his tenure was also curtailed by Kashmiri communalism though he gave four districts ( three times extra) against one district to Kashmir recommended by Judicial Commission and four districts one third extra against three recommend for Jammu. The prestigious institutions like Institute of Medical Sciences ( on the pattern of PGI Chandigarh ) ,NIT and many others are in Kashmir and not in Jammu province . Jammu protested only when cental University and AIIMS logically allotted to Jammu were shifted to home districts of Kashmiri Chief Ministers.
