| GBSP resents non-availability of ration to nomads. | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 27 : The Gujjar & Bakkerwal State President Choudhary Nazakat Khatana flayed the Govt for depriving the nomadic Gujjar and Bakerwals of daily ration from different Govt. ration depots of Jammu Province bringing them at the verge of starvation.
This was stated by him in a press conference held today bemoaning the silence of the government regarding ration distribution to the community which has made them miserable alleging that whenever these nomads visit govt. ration shops they do not get ration and come back empty handed.
These people are being told that there is no ration supply in the concerned area, he informed, adding that the truth is the other way round pointing out that these ration depots stocked with enough ration dumped and scattered since years having become useless for human consumption.
He said that these nomads are not being given any type of help by the Govt and Desh Youth Body has been apprising the Govt. from time to time about the problems of nomads but in vain.
