Workshop on O-Plan held at Govt Polytechnic Jammu 11/27/2015 11:50:32 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 27 : 27-One Day Annual Workshop for preparation of Operational Plan (O-Plan) for various Polytechnics and Engineering colleges was conducted by NITTTR, Chandigarh held at Govt. Polytechnic, Jammu in which the Principals and senior HOD's and faculty of various Govt. and Private Polytechnic colleges and Engineering colleges of J&K participated. The workshop was inaugurated by the Joint Director, Technical Education, J&K, Er. Mahmood Ahmad Khan who highlighted the role of Technical Education and stressed upon incorporating the advanced technologies in the curriculum of Diploma engineering students. The Principal of the Govt. Polytechnic Jammu, Er. Ritu Jamwal welcomed all the participants in the workshop and highlighted the importance of faculty development programmes for better teaching learning process. The resource persons from NITTTR Chandigarh was Prof. Parmod Kumar Singla, Prof S.S. Dhami and Prof. Ritula Thakur. In the workshop various demand driven staff development programmes and other need based courses were identified as a part of O-Plan to be conducted by NITTTR for the year 2016-17 in the various Polytechnics of J&K and at NITTTR Chandigarh for the development of Staff and for exposure of the staff to the latest development in field of Technical Education to improve the overall scenario of Technical Education in J&K.
