Modi expresses sorrow over Congress attitude | | | If the Congress leadership thinks that the Indian Parliament is a poor individual whose voice can be choked it is wrong.Parliament is actually the seat of power and one cannot silence the voice of the Parliament. Yes,there are some inherent differences between the ruling party and the opposition but it does not mean you can gag the voice of parliament. If Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has voiced concern over the attitude of the Congress in causing continuous disruptions he cannot be blamed. Expressing "sorrow" over fresh Parliament disruptions, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday asserted that democracy cannot function at the "whims and fancies" of anyone, in a veiled dig at continuing protests by the Congress. Without any reference to the Congress, which has held protests in both the Houses of Parliament over the National Herald case, Modi said democracy cannot be restricted to elections and governments alone and that one of the two main dangers before it is "mantantra" (functioning as per one's whims and fancies) with the other being "dhantantra" (money power). Modi also said the poor are not being able to get their rights as legislations to benefit them are stuck due to disruptions in Parliament. "It is not only the GST (Bill) but many pro-poor steps are stuck in Parliament." "You must have seen that these days this (disruptions) is being seen more. Meri marji (I will do what I desire). I will do whatever comes to my mind. Does the country run like this? "Democracy does not function with 'mantantra'. The country does not run on its basis. Whatever you may think but the system does not run like this," Modi said." It is a matter of sorrow that the poor are not being able to get their rights due to Parliament not functioning. "However the talk is only centred on the GST versus Parliament. And if the case history of the National Herald is studied between the lines the Congress does not seem to have any justification for causing disruptions of proceedings in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha Rs.2000 cr National Herald scam brilliantly explained by veteran journalist S Gurumurthy!!! Big and small, N H Shareholders had contributed Rs 89 lakhs to AJL's (Associated Journals Limited) capital, when the Rupee was hundred times more valuable. Against RS 2000 cr properties, AJL owed just Rs 90 cr to Congress. It had very little liability, besides. A sitting duck for fraudster. Financial crisis forced Associated Journals Limited [AJL] publishers of NH founded by Nehru, to close it down in 2008. To pay off the employees to help the closure, the Congress Party had given interest free loan of Rs 90 crore plus to AJL, then. Brahm Dev Narain, teacher, holding just 41 shares in AJL, would have got some Rs 84000. Hundreds of others would have got similar sums. With NH shut, AJL had become a mere real estate co in 2008, with properties in Delhi, Lucknow and Mumbai of over Rs 2000 crore. Rs 2000cr properties minus off Rs 90cr to Congress legally and morally belonged to AJL's thousand plus shareholders.. If AJL's properties had been realized and distributed to shareholders things would have not assumed serious dimensions. Now the greedy conspirators, senior Congress leaders and others enter and grab the wealth of hundreds of others by fraud, cheating & breach of trust. Defying both law & morals, some congress leaders misappropriated control of AJL's 2000 cr assets without paying a dime to AJL's shareholders. In just 3 months, Nov 2010 and Feb 2011 and in three moves, control of thousands of crore worth properties passed to the one congress family.. Here unfolds fraud. 1st step: in Nov 2010, a trust co named "Young Indian" was mysteriously formed with capital of just Rs 5 lakhs Two senior Congress leaders held maximum share in this trust. It is simply a tip of the iceberg. Now the case is in the court and when the Court summoned Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi for appearance before the judge the Congress raised a ruckus in the two Houses of Parliament. For days together there has been no business in the two Houses. The Congress members have started blaming the Government in general and Narendra Modi in particul;ar for interfering in the court matters as part of their vendetta. Despite the fact that senior BJP leaders have been trying to persuade the Congress MPS that they should not block the proceedings of the parliament because the Government has no direct control over the functioning of the courts the Congress seems to be determined to get the court case dropped.Well it is not for Modi to drop the court case.It is upto the court to either summon Sonia and Rahul or give its verdict in case the respondents continue to defame the judicial system because alleged interference by the Government itself amounts to defamation of the legal system. |
