Jammu, Dec 11: Gandhi Nagar police today claimed to have arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in making a murderous assault on a person the other day. Police have identified the accuse as Charan Singh alias Charna s/o S Ajit Singh Sec 13 Nanak Nagar, Jammu, Jagjit Singh alias Tanna s/o Ram Singh of Bhour Camp, and Jaspreet Singh alias Tina s/o Kulwant Singh of Sec 6, Nanak Nagar, Jammu.
"The arrest was made by Bishnesh under the supervision of SDPO City South Sachin Gupta, SP City South Shahzad Salaria, police said. Police spokesman said, "A stabbing incident took place at Nanak Nagar, wherein some miscreants made an attempt to murder one Harjeet Singh s/o Gurmukh Singh of Nanak Nagar, Jammu on December 7." "Accordingly a case under FIR No. 293/2015 under sections 307, 341, 323/34/147/149 RPC and 4/25 of Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar, police said. "During course of investigation, special teams were constituted to investigate and effect arrest of accused, police said, adding, "on specific information of reliable sources, a team led by Inspector Bishnesh from Police Station Gandhi Nagar raided various places within the city and its outskirts and effected arrest of three accused persons." |
