Jammu, Dec 11: Infuriated over the harassment doled out to the ReT teachers and other lower rung contractual employees of the State by the insolent BJP-PDP government, scores of Panthers Party activists spearheaded by. Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and Yashpal Kundal State president Young Panthers staged a massive protest demonstration at Exhibition ground Jammu on Friday.
Harsh Dev Singh Chairman and former Education Minister drew the attention of the media towards the pathetic plight of lower rung employees of the state. Expressing his grave concern over the highly contemptuous and derisive treatment meted out to the contractual employees of the State he disclosed that the category of employees spanning ReT teachers, NRHM workers, SPO's, EV's, Temporary teachers, Contractuals, Consolidated contingent, DRW's, NYC's, Anganwari and Asha workers, Safai Karamcharis, casual workers, etc had been facing the worst form of exploitation and Human rights violations. He said that the aforesaid employees are suffering not only because of the violation of Minimum wages act but denial of wages due to them for months and years together. |
