Jammu, Dec 11: Various Sikh Organizations of state today held meeting under the chairmanship of Mahinder Singh Chief Organiser Bhai Kanaya Nishkam sewa society J&K.
According to press release, during meeting organizations included AISSF, Sikh United Front, Sikh Welfare Society, Sikh Naujawan Sabha decided to celebrate Shahidi Diwas day of ninth Guru Teg Bhadur ji on Dec 16, 2015 here at Gurudwara Sant Bhai Rocha Singh Gurudwara, Nanak Nagar. They said that Guru Teg Bhadur ji sacrifices their life for the sake of religion, country and against the cruelty of then rulers at Chandni Chowk Delhi. The religious function shall start from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in which many ragis and religious preachers and members of District Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee Jammu are also being participated and should threw light on the life and history of Guru ji.
The participant in the meeting had appealed the General masses to attend the Guru ji Shadhi Diwas to remember there scarifies who laid down their life for India. The participant unanimously appealed the State Chief Minister Mufti Mohd. Sayed of coalition Government to declare holiday on that day.
