| Drubeel XI beat Horna by 8 wickets in final | | JS Memorial Cricket Tournament | |  Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Jan 8: Drubeel XI beat Horna XI by 8 wickets in the final match of JS Memorial Cricket tournament organized by Rathore Cricket club Drubeel at Dekri ground in memory of late Cricketer Jora Singh.
After winning the toss, Horna XI elected to bat first and set the target of 124 in stipulated 16 overs by losing 6 wickets.
Opener Sachin Singh score 52 runs of 29 balls with five boundaries and two sixes for his team Captain Horna XI Lokesh remained the most successful bowler for his team by claiming 2 wickets for 15 runs while Irfan, Jaswant and Mohinder picked up one wicket each.
Chasing a mammoth target of 124 Runs, Drubeel XI lost only 2 wickets for 124 runs and won the match by 8 wickets. For DrubeelXI batsmen Ranjeet Rathore score 24 runs while Firdari score quick fire 18 runs with two fours.
For Drubeel XI bowler Kuldeep Singh picked up 2 wickets while Rakesh claimed 2wickets, captain Ashwani and Jiwan picked up one wicket each.
Batsman Ashwani was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant batting performance, beside was also adjudged as man of the series for best batting display in the tournament. Overall 8 teams participated in the tournament.
Major Sanjay Yadav of 11 RR, prominents like Chander Rathore,Bodh Raj, Prem Nath Suresh Kumar ,Ashok Kumars and others grace the occasion with their presence and later distributed the prizes among the players.
The winning team was awarded with 1500 cash and a trophy while the runner up team was awarded trophy medals. |
