FAWU Jammu holds protest for redressal of their demands | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 8: The Food & Allied workers Union Jammu held a massive protest at CAPD Store New Store Nehru Market. The workers working in all the CA&PD Stores assembled at New- Store and shouted slogans for early redressal of the long pending genuine demands. While addressing the workers the President of the Union, Bishan Dass thanked Minister of CAPD and Tribal Affairs, Zulfikar Ali for his keen interest for the welfare of the workers working in the CAPD department and giving directions from time to time to the concerned officers to resolve the burning problems of the poor workers. He added that the Minister is always directing the CAPD officials to fulfill the long pending demands from the very time after his induction as minister but the concerned official seems to be bent upon for their callous attitudes towards the workers. Bishan Dass added that the pending demands of the workers included, Enhancement of loading/unloading bag rates as per price index, Issue of the engagement orders of 17 workers of Muffasil depots and 12 workers for replacement of Stores, release of wages before 10th of each month. He also said that the officers at the helm of affairs are requested to kindly settle our above referred to issues failing which the muddled workers shall be forced to continue their struggle till the issues are resolved. The leaders of the Union who addressed the workers included S. Harminder Singh, Om Parkash, Pyare Lal, Dev Raj and others. |
