Samba, Jan 8: Motor Vehicle Department Samba is going to organize '27th ROAD SAFETY WEEK 2016' from January 10 to 16, 2016 with the theme "Time for Action" in collaboration with various stakeholders of the society. Giving detail about the weeklong programme, ARTO Samba Kuldeep Singh said that on inaugural day on January 10, 2016, a 'Motor-Bike Rally' will be organized from New Bus Stand Samba-to - 17 Miles Restaurant at 11 am in collaboration with Motor Vehicles dealers, Sale Service Centers, Youth for Society, 17 Miles Restaurant, Traffic Police, District police. On January 11, 2016, a Mega Rally, Walkathon will be organized in which various schools of the district will participate. The first three best schools will be awarded. The rally will be flagged off at 11 AM from Government Degree College Samba- to -Government Higher Secondary School Boys Samba.
On January 12, an awareness programme cum Free Medical Health Check-up will be organized for commercial vehicles drivers near BDO Office Vijaypur at 10 AM in collaboration with Health Department, ISM, Transport, groups Vijaypur. On January 13, Road Safety awareness camp for drivers and conductors at Ghagwal 11 AM in coordination with Traffic Police Ghagwal.
On January 14, Painting Competition on the topics, Pollution effects on nature and human life, Causes of accidents, Scenario of road accidents in District Samba at Government Degree College Samba at 11 A.M.On January 15, a Road Safety Symposium cum Debate Competition on the topic Role of Civil Society in Road Safety will be organized at Conference Hall, Nandni Hills, Samba. On January 16, a joint awareness checking drive along with Traffic police will be conducted at 9 A.M to 2 P.M. |
