Poonch, Jan 8: An ICDS junior assistant and nutrition incharge has been attached for allegedly throwing expired pulses, Dalda ghee and daliya by the roadside at Mendhar. Junior assistant Mushtaq Ahmad knew that a team constituted by Poonch deputy commissioner M H Malik to probe into the misuse of ration and find out why these items had expired and rotten was to visit Mendhar any time. To escape any legal action, he allegedly threw the expired ration by the roadside some time back, according to official sources. However, when the team reached Mendhar to check the stocks, it found the piles of expired and rotten ration by the roadside, sources said, adding that it found the expired ration and other items in different stores of Mendhar, including 75 quintals of daliya which was thrown on the road. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, Shafeeq Ahmed had ordered to seize the rotten ration meant for the under-privileged sections of the society. When contacted, the Poonch DC said that an order of attachment of the nutrition incharge had been issued by this office vide order No DCP/PA/3427-32 on January 1, 2016. |
