Jammu, Feb 13: As if there is no eligible police officer other than him in the state police organisation, a police officer, who has already served in Jammu as SDPO and SP, has again activated all his resources to get a posting in Jammu as SP, Jammu rural.
As SDPO, he got involved in a controversy after which PHQ posted another DSP in his place and ordered his attachment. For a long time time, he was without any posting. But after his promotion, he managed to get himself posted as SP, Jammu rural.
So politically well-connected he is that he was not transferred even during the last Lok Sabha elections. In the assembly polls, however, he was transferred and posted as additional SP in a district in Jammu region.
Since his transfer to the other district, he has been trying to come back to Jammu. When his efforts to get himself posted as SP north or SP south bore no fruit, he took leave and came to Jammu where he has been calling on his bosses at PHQ and senior officers in the home department for a posting in Jammu rural, according to police sources.
The PHQ and the home department were, however, not interested to post him as SP, Jammu rural, as he had already served there, sources informed.
Despite that he had activated all his resources to get a posting in Jammu rural, sources said. |
