Teenage held for murdering father in Dooru | | | Saahil Suhail

Anantnag, Feb 13 : Police today claimed to have solved a blind murder case of a man with the arrest of main accused a teen (13) who happens to be son of deceased a middle aged (45) person in Dooru area of this Anantnag district. Police spokesperson said, "Abdul Hameed Malik (45) a cleric (Imam) by profession was found murdered and half buried inside his field near his house at Bragaam village of Dooru last Tuesday. "A deep wound was found on his head and it was presumed that he has been attacked by an axe or any sharp edged weapon, police said, adding, "The people of Dooru had blocked the road and also observed a shutdown on Wednesday against the murder of the religious head. A police officer pleading anonymity told Early Times that domestic dispute between his father and mother could be the possible reason behind the murder. Deceased a cleric is survived by his wife, two daughters and accused son. SSP Anantnag, Abdul Jabbar today told media that after recovering the dead body of Imam, a murder case was registered at Police Station Dooru and investigation was initiated to solve murder mystery. "During the investigation, it came to fore that deceased (Abdul Hameed Malik) with his son namely Mohsin Hamid Malik left towards the field on 09/02/2016 at about 10:00am in the morning, SSP Anantnag said. He said, "The duo worked for about two hours and finally had a lunch together. After son finished his lunch he took an axe and hit his father's neck who was busy in taking meals and died on the spot." SSP said that during the questioning the accused, Mohsin Hamid Malik- a class 7th student admitted to have killed his father. SSP Anantnag said that police has arrested the teenager and initiated further legal process. "Accused will be punished as per the law," he said, |
