Police foils employees' protest, dozens arrested | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 13: Dozens of employees were arrested along with of President EJAC Abdul Qayoom Wani today when thousands of employees strongly protested in front of Governor House at Jammu in support of their demands. Today thousands of employees staged strong protest for the resolution of employee, issues under the banner of JK Employees Joint Action Committee led by EJAC President Abdul Qayoom Wani in front of Governor House at Jammu. The thousands of employees temporary, public sector, Govt. Sector including ReTs strongly protested regarding the resolution of issues and apathy and negligence of Govt. and administration towards issues and the leaders of EJAC addressed the employees and strongly stressed for the resolution of demands. While addressing the mammoth gathering of employees the President EJAC thanked the employees for their full participation and praised their spirit of struggle and dedication towards the cause of employees. He said that the state employees are not fond of taking to roads or adopting agitational path but it is the non fulfillment of promises and assurances by the ex-government. and despite agreement with this organization. All the temporary employees working in all departments have not been confirmed. The public sector employees are frustrated and the issues of employees have been put to halt in cold storage. Attempts are being made to humiliate the ReTs in the name of examination and screening test drama. |
