| Body of missing person fished out | | | Early Times Report
Banihal, Apr 2: After the hectic efforts of Quick Response Team (QRT) volunteers of Ramban, police today fished out the body from nullah in water near Khoni nullah.
Police sources have identified the deceased as Ab Rehman Mir resident of Shopian Kashmir who was on of the two missing persons after a sumo met with an accident on March 17 in which five persons were killed and other two were washed away while three others were critically injured.
"On receiving information from local person regarding presence of a body in the river water near Battery Chasma, police said, adding, "police team alongwith volunteers of QRT were rushed to the spot who recovered dead body from the river. Pertinent to mention that the local QRT volunteers were in search of two missing persons who were washed away in nullah and one of them was fished out today while search for other is on. |
