Health deptt criticised for arbitrary transfers 4/2/2016 11:56:58 PM Bijay Charak Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 2: The Health department's recent transfer of doctors from rural areas to Jammu has been seen as an attempt to deprive rural people of health care. Reliable source in department informed Early Times that the recent reshuffle of doctors has complicated the situation in several important hospitals of region which were already facing difficulties due to pressing scarcity of doctors. The doctors recently transferred to rural hospital to Jammu health institution including Dr Sarish Malik from District Hospital (DH) Rajouri has been transferred and posted to Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Dr Chander Shekhar from DH Ramban has been transferred and posted to Community Health Centre (CHC) Jourian, Dr Som Kumar Chadgal from CHC Bhaderwah has been transferred and posted to DH Samba, Dr Mushtaq Ahmed from CHC Bhaderwah has been transferred and posted to CHC Surankote and Dr Om Kumar from Primary Health Centre Chhatroo has been transferred and posted at State Health Society. "In these health institutions where doctors were transferred without replacement, nearby 50 percent staff are still lying vacant, need of hour to fill the vacant posts here but astoundingly the department had made more doctors transfers to other hospitals", sources said. The other doctors who were transferred within city including Dr Rakesh Gupta from DH Kathua has been transferred and posted to Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Dr Anil Gupta from Mahatma Gandhi Hospital Kathua has been transferred and posted to DH Kathua, Dr Rohit Kohli from CHC Akhnoor has been transferred and posted to Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Dr Gourab Gupta has been transferred from Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar and posted at Government Hospital Sarwal, Dr Deepak Tickoo from Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar has been transferred and posted to Police Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Dr Suruchi Gupta has been transferred from DH Kathua and posted at Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Dr Sanjay Raina from DH Kathua has been transferred and posted to migrant hospital Jagti.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
