NIT clash: Fake nationalism of BJP leaders exposed | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 2: After the power hungry State BJP leaders have miserably failed to protect lives of nearly 2000 non-local students, studying in National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar, the helpless students ultimately approached Union Government and Central leadership of BJP at the intervening night of April 1 and April 2 for intervention. It was all due to the intervention of Central leadership of BJP and Union Government that lives of these students, who dared to raise national flag in NIT Srinagar, were saved by deploying Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) as nationalist students alleged that local police and local administration was non cooperative. Credible sources said that after Thursday's incident when a large number of outsiders thronged into the NIT campus to teach non-local students a lesson for shouting pro-India slogans, the helpless students, who belong to different parts of the country, tried to contact State BJP leaders, who reportedly refused to help them at this time when they are going to form Government with PDP. Credible sources said that non local students including some students belonging to Jammu pleaded before the State BJP leaders to use their influence and asked State administration to protect them from the wrath of outsiders, who were gathered there in huge number but J&K BJP leaders flatly refused to help those students, who dared to unfurl national flag at NIT Srinagar and shouting pro-India slogans. The helpless students reportedly also approached some self-styled Hindu organisations but they too refused to help them due to pressure from local BJP leaders, who do not want to take any pro-India step at this point of time when only days are left for swearing in ceremony. Credible sources said that a top BJP leader switched off his cell phone when a student, who raised Tiranga at NIT Srinagar sought his help to save lives of pro-India students. In the mid night, these students approached Central Government through social media and fortunately got immediate response. It was only after intervention of Central leadership that CRPF was deployed and ordered to throw them out from hostel was revoked. Except one outspoken BJP legislator none of the top party leader of J&K has spoken about the plight of helpless non-local students of NIT, who are still living under threats. |
