| 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' organized | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Apr 2 : An awareness programme is organised in collaboration with chief education officer in the premises of higher secondary school Basohli on the topic ' Save the Girl Child and Educate the Girl Child or Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao'.
In the awareness programme the students of Government Higher Secondary School, the students of Govt Degree College Basohli and students of Ramisht College of Education Basohli took part Manvi Sharma and Vikas Kumar of Ramisht college of Education Basohli also expressed their views, almost all participants emphasized that there is dire necessity to bring big change in the thinking perspective of society in connection with the girl child, to save girl child, to educate the girl child and to empower the girl child.
They further emphasized that in need of money we worship goddess Lakshmi and in need of courage we worship duty durga then why not a girl child? Furthermore they said that girl child is the basis of society and social relations.
On this occasion SDM Basohli Dirender Sharma was the chief guest and expressed his views with the students and gave message to save, to educate and to empower the girl child. |
