Srinagar, Apr 30: The newly created tehsils in state have not brought any respite to ordinary people from the day today administrative sufferings, instead these newly created administrative units have increased the problems of the common masses across state. There are at least one dozen tehsils where Tehsildars are not at all seen and the posts are being handed over to Tehsildars who are posted in nearby tehsils.
Details available with Early Times reveal that newly created Tehsil in Tangmarg Kawarhama is without a tehsildar from last eight months and the charge has been handed over to Tehsildar Tangmarg which has added sufferings of people from both the tehsils. "Tehsildar Kawarhama was transferred almost eight months back and nobody replaced him , Govt handed over the charge to tehsildar Tangmarg and this has lead to lot of chaos and confusion among people. The incharge tehsildar comes to tehsil office once or twice a week and people are unaware when the officer is supposed to come. People suffer a lot as they are not able to get their work done. People have pending cases of state subject, RBA and income certificates in the tehsil office, the work which is supposed to be done in two or three days takes months. During this whole process our work also gets suffered" said Manzoor Ahmad who is a petition writer in the tehsil office Kawarhama.
Tehsildar Awantipora was transferred last month and now the charge is held by Tehsildar Pampore, similarly Tehsildar Rajpora in Pulwama which is the home constituency of Finance Minister is also without a Tehsildar as the said officer was transferred more than a month back.
