'BJP Govt breaks all records of price hike in Independent India': Manjeet | | | Early Times Report
Vijaypur, May 1: Jammu and Kashmir Congress on Sunday appealed the state government to provide compensation to the farmers, who have lost their crops in accidental fire in Vijaypur area. In a statement, senior Congress leader Manjeet Singh said that the farmers have been facing negligence from the Government as no compensation or relief has been announced for them. "There were around many incidents of fire in which standing crops damaged due to sparking but no compensation was given to the poor farmers by the Government," he alleged. He sought attention of the Government to look into the issue so that the poor people could get support to carry forward their routine works. "They depend on their crops which have been damaged and they are looking for some help which is yet to be provided," Singh alleged. With regard to increasing crises in view of hot summer days, he said, Kandi villages have been facing acute shortage of drinking water and many people have to hire private tankers to supply them drinking water as the PHE has failed to supply water adequately. |
