| Two BJP ministers ensure 'premature' transfer of official through PDP minister | | Official nailed for being honest, impediment for higher ups ….! | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 1: Within a month of occupying the ministerial berths, ministers in PDP-BJP alliance have resorted to practice of grinding their axe in cherry picking the officers of own liking at key posts. Few days ahead of closure of Durbar in Jammu, two senior most BJP ministers worked in one 'direction' to ensure ouster of an official from an important department which fell under the purview of a PDP minister holding very important portfolio. The latter too blindly obliged the BJP colleagues without ascertaining the reason.
The official was nailed for the only fault of being honest and his honesty was an 'impediment' for the higher authorities in the department loyal to minister.
Sources said few days ahead of closure of Durbar in Jammu, a senior BJP minister handpicked the said officer and ensured his transfer from the place of posting only because the some high level officers felt uncomfortable due to his presence for certain 'practices' to which he would not have agreed to be a part. Moreover, it is a case of premature transfer as he was sent to that place just one month back, said the sources adding that his sudden removal was only to please some sycophants at the higher level who in turn are 'loyal' for all practical purposes to the minister.
Most surprising aspect of the case is that one more BJP minister worked almost in 'unison' for this task of pre mature transfer of the official who was considered to be a hurdle in many ways, sources said adding that both got it happen in just a matter of hours as the PDP minister too did not raise any questions or queries. The official has now been attached with the department for none of his faults, sources said adding that he is helpless as he doesn't have any political influence to seek justice or contest the act of pre mature transfer. All the three ministers have not just violated the well laid out transfer policy of the departments but also trampled brazenly the slogan of corruption free and neat governance of both Centre as well as the government in the state led by Mehbooba Mufti of which they are important functionaries.
Sources also confirmed this was not the isolated case of transfer ordered in a discreet manner by the ministers as on the last working day before closure of offices in Jammu many transfer orders were issued by the mantries within the secretariat. However, the only difference in these transfers from the above mentioned case was that the officials were transferred as a matter of axing their grind and in having certain people at 'choicest' places by the ministers. These transfers were made in a hush hush manner said the sources adding that only the beneficiaries received the orders and these were not mentioned in any of the websites of respective departments, sources further said. |
