| Ministers give personal numbers only to power brokers, touts | | BJP legislators annoyed with inaccessible party ministers | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 1: There is strong resentment among BJP legislators about style of the functioning of party ministers in the coalition government. And this anger came to the fore during a meeting of the party legislators which was held last week at Gandhi Nagar to form strategy of the party for the coming budget session. BJP legislators in the presence, of state president, Sat Pal Sharma, CA and state general secretary Ashok Koul, took some of the party ministers to task for playing in the hands of power brokers and touts. These MLAs told party leadership nothing has been improved as far as style of functioning of the BJP ministers are concerned. They said after remained out of power from January 7 to April 4, the BJP ministers had started normal behaving with party legislators and workers but after again getting power, they have again turned to their old style of functioning.
Some legislators told BJP leadership that it was very difficult to approach party ministers because always these ministers are holding meetings with power brokers and touts. Furthermore, some legislators, with authentic proofs, informed party leadership that instead of solving problems of the constituencies of BJP MLAs, party ministers are giving importance to the leaders of other parties to undermine importance of their own MLAs and MLCs.
Credible sources said that some legislators have drawn attention of the party leadership towards some bussinessmen, who were earlier associated with Congress and National Conference but now they are guiding BJP Ministers. These bussinessmen, who are actually power brokers, are influencing in transfers and postings of officers.
Sources said that most of the BJP legislators are annoyed with their ministers because they (ministers) are not giving importance to the issues raised by them. These legislators have decided to bring this matter to the notice of the high-command and warned that if such arrogant attitude of the BJP ministers will continue, party would be wiped out in Jammu in the days to come. Some legislators mentioned that despite being representatives of the people, it is impossible for them to have appointment with the BJP ministers and situation of the common masses is worst because all the party ministers are inaccessible to the common people. Legislators mentioned that that all the BJP ministers have got new mobile numbers which they have given to only power brokers and touts. To party legislators and common masses, ministers have given their old numbers, which always remained busy. |
