Udhampur, May 2: Alleging lack of basic amenities including safe drinking water facility at 10 schools in Pancheri Block of Udhampur, the villagers from different villages of Panchari block today demanded water supply to ten Government Schools in Panchari of district Udhampur.
Locals were demanding water supply to ten Government Schools including primary school at Gangari village Lali, Sankari, Nowara, Passar village Meer, Sunthal, village Damnote, Kharthal Chowsar, Junwal Kote, Chanjee, Upper Galiote village Galiote, and Balda village Chulna this all of primary school this school without water supply for drinking purposes and for public convenience for making Mid Day Meals.
They said that they have raised the matter with Zonal Education Office (ZEO) but till no action has been taken in this regard. Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Panchari Hans Raj when contacted briefly said they have informed to Chief Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur and PHE and Irrigation Department to resolve issue of school children. |
