Farmers call on Daljit Singh 5/2/2016 11:30:28 PM Early Times Report Jammu, May 2: A deputation of Progressive Farmer today called upon Daljit Singh Chib, Vice Chairman J&K Kisan Advisory Board for Development of Kisan. According to press release, the deputation led By Rajinder Singh, President Kissan Morcha and Sunil Dutt Sharma General Secretary, other prominent progressive farmers KasturiLal, Ajit Singh and other members of the Morcha. The Director Agriculture Jammu Dr S S Jamwal was also present in the meeting. Chib advised the deputation to take maximum benefits of the various farmer friendly schemes launched by the Agriculture Department and the Central government and use the latest agriculture technologies for boosting their crop production. The president of Kissan Morcha said that lot of damage has been done to the Garlic and requested to sent a team of experts to take preventive measures. They also stressed that best quality seeds should be made available to the farmers in time so that make best use of the same. The Director Agriculture impressed upon the deputation to use latest and innovative methods of agricultural techniques so they can get good results.
