Students' Associations demand carry on system 5/2/2016 11:33:15 PM Early Times Report Kathua, May 2: A large number of students from Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua today staged massive protest demonstration outside the office of Principal GDC Kathua then they came on the road and protest in the office of DDC Kathua. They demanded carryon system in Graduation courses as this facility has been already given to Post Graduate and Professional Courses. The protesters led by S Harpreet Singh President Students' Socialist Fedration SSF, were sloganeering against Vice- Chancellor University of Jammu and allegedly his wrong policies besides discriminatory attitude towards graduate students. While addressing media, Harpreet Singh said JU introduced Semester system for graduate courses but policy has not been implemented entirely as there is 'Carry on' system for Professional and Post Graduate courses but not for graduate students. Singh said graduate students must not be deprived of this facility and JU should promote them to next semesters.
