DSS welcomes enhancing remuneration of Chowkidars, Numberdars | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 3: Central Working Committee of Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) on Tuesday welcomed the government decision for enhancing the remuneration of Numberdars and Chowkidars in its meeting which was organized under the chairmanship of Th. Gulchain Singh Charak at Sabha Bhawan Dogra Hall, Jammu. At the outset, the members of working committee conveyed their thanks to the goverment for accepting some of the long pending demand of Chowkidars and Numberdars for enhancing their remunerations from Rs. 750/- to Rs. 1500/- and Rs. 751/- to Rs. 1501/- respectively. The committee members also requested the government to concede to other just demands of these grassroot Public Servants also. The working committee members also expressed their thanks to the government for accepting the demand of farmers of Jammu region to allow the commercial use of Khairwood. This will not only put an end to large scale smuggling and scarce resource but also benefit the poor farmers of the region. The committee members requested the government and concerned officials to take up the restoration work immediately to avoid further damage to the complex during the ensuing rainy season. |
