Private schools run illegally in Bishnah; authorities silent | | | Gurdas Kumar
Early Times Report
Vijaypur, May 3: Inspite of number of orders, notifications & SRO's issued by State Government, the concerned authorities apparently have failed to curb the menace of illegally functioning private schools in Bishnah which are not only operational without requisite infrastructure but also san mandatory affiliations. Some locals hailing from Bishnah told ET regarding the functioning of such School in Bishnah and alleged, " These Private Schools including Naveen Model Academy Rehal-Bishnah, Gandhi Memorial Academy Rehal -Bishnah, Guru Kul Public School, Chakra -Bishnah, Indian Heritage Chakar- Bishnah and many others are operational but without requisite permissions from education department". They added that many times they had approached to the concerned Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) and Chief Education Officer (CEO) and apprised them about the matter but till date no action has been taken in this regard. Locals however alleged that these schools are functioning illegally due to unholy nexus between some officials from within education department and school managements. Sources within education department alleged that Naveen Model Academy and Gandhi Memorial Academy Rehal have been permitted /affiliated upto Middle classes but they are running the classes reportedly upto 9th and 10th standard. Similarly Guru Kul Public School Chakra has a permission upto primary i.e. 5th Standard but the school is running classes upto middle (8th class) courtesy this unholy nexus. "It is found that Naveen Model Academy Rehal got itself attached with Saint Edward High School, Sarore, while Gandhi Memorial Academy Rehal with Dabber Pvt. School, Bishnah and Guru Kul Public School, Chakra with Naveen Model Academy, Rehal, sources said, alleging a well planned conspiracy with the officials concerned who had adopted a callous approach towards the menace just to make easy money. Apart from sources the locals also alleged that these schools don't have basic infrastructure needed for a school but are fleecing the gullible rural folk charging huge fees. They did not publish their fee structure in the daily newspapers under norms, locals alleged. Locals have demanded a thorough probe to be initiated into the matter and the legal action taken against the management of these illegal schools and education officials to streamline the education system in rural areas. |
