Early Times Report
Banihal, May 3: Alleging that various political parties have taken the people on ride, the locals and students from Chanderkote village of Ramban district today demanded the long upgradation of Govt High School to Higher Secondary School which is long pending demand for over a decade. Locals said that there is not even a single Govt Higher Secondary School in Ramban to Batote stretch. "The students of Chanderkote and its adjoining areas after passing high school have to seek admission at Ramban or Batote for higher secondary studies, some locals lamented. Mushaid Ali a local resident told Early Times that during the regime of National Conference, the then MLA Chaman Lal assured locals for upgrading the school and similar green pastures were shown to locals by his successor but all in vain. Locals alleged that they (politicians) were using 'crafty words' for the vote banks politics and taken them on ride on this genuine issue nut none seemed to be interested in getting the high school of area to be upgraded to higher secondary level. Locals also added that there are over a dozen primary and middle that are feeding to this school but no one is interested to upgrade this old high school. Parents and students of Chanderkote have appealed to present coalition government, minister for Education and local MLA to kindly see the matter and get this school upgraded for the cause of student of the area. |
