Sextortionist Patwari suspended, FIR registered ET Impact 5/19/2016 11:43:32 PM A B Sharma Early Times Report Reasi, May 19: Taking a strong exception to the lucid remarks by a Patwari namely Jagdish Kumar against a hapless woman in Pouni district who had gone to him to get her land regularized , the District Commissioner Reasi, Ravinder Kumar has issued orders of his suspension. Early Times had reported recently about the misdeeds of the said patwari. Despite complaints, and telephone recording of conversation between Patwari and the hapless woman, no action was taken against the erring government official. However, after the Early Times carried this story , DC Reasi directed the SHO Pouni to register an FIR against him and immediately released the suspension orders of the Patwari Jagdish Lal. The FIR No. 27/2016 under section 509 stands now registered against him. The incident happened a few days ago when a hapless female r/o Dadwa Saden Bhambla and tehsil pouni owning a seven kanals of land at Khasra no 435 approached the Tehsildar Pouni Munshi Ram with a request to get her transferred in her name as she owned the same but had not executed the girdawari. The Patwari demanded and accepted Rs. 15000 as bribe and assured the victim to get her work executed, but kept on lingering it for months altogether. When hapless woman approached the patwari Jagdish Lal, he extended indecent proposal to her.
